After the successful first project together (Mafraq & Ramtha Water System Improvements). TECCO was the preferred bidder by Mercy Corps to construct the critical project of the New Jaber Pump Station and 500 m3 Reservoir.
This project in specific was a real challenge, firstly as it was a design and build job which demanded TECCO to team up with one of Jordan's top design firms (Sobeh Consulting Engineering Office). Secondly and importantly, the project's site is located inside an existing operational pump station. where all the elements of the new pumping station had to be constructed, tested and commissioned before switching over from the old to the new system. this resembled a true challenge as all construction activities were carried out around live electrical and water lines, without any stoppage to the pumping or health and safety incidents.
Civil Scope of Work:
500 m3 RC concrete reservoir:

trenched and exposed internal cement lined/ external polyethylene coating API 5L black steel pipes DN 200 & 150 mm for tank supply (inlet piping).

trenched and exposed internal cement lined/ external polyethylene coating API 5L black steel pipes DN 400 mm for main suction line from tank to Pumping station.

trenched and exposed internal cement lined/ external polyethylene coating API 5L black steel pipes DN 150 & 300 mm discharge lines from pumping station to main transition lines.

trenched and exposed internal cement lined/ external polyethylene coating API 5L black steel pipes DN 300 mm for overflow and washout from tank to nearby culvert.

suction and discharge underground chambers including: mechanical water meters, strainers, dismantling joints and Gate Valves, fittings and bi-passes .

installation of four multi-stage horizontal distribution pumps including all valves, fittings, pressure switches and sensors.

gas chlorination system with multiple dosing points, chlorine leak sensor, leak buzzers and flash lights, safety equipment including emergency showers.

Electrical Scope of Work:

Power System: 1X400 stranded CU/XLPE/AWA/PVC main feeder cables from Transformer to MDB (buried as per best practices and specifications) . 175 KW, 132 KW, 110 KW, 50 KW ABB soft starter panels including automated operation based on different water levels inside reservoir with all required control and protection elements ( Overload protection, Dry run protection including probes & sensors, phase failure, overheat, etc...).

external IP68 250 Watt metal halide lighting projectors, internal IP66 industrial type lighting fixtures, digital pressure gauges and switches on suction & discharge lines, earthing systems for all critical components.
