After the swift and successful construction of the 4th floor extension part A. Shemsani Hospital Management was extremely pleased with the quality of the works, thus it was decided to trust TECCO teams again with the construction of part B of the 4th floor extension. Part B's built up area is 450 m2  consisting of 13 en-suit rooms (16 beds in total), nursing counters and reception, doctors' room, storage and other facilities.

Civil Scope of work:

• Demolition and site preparation works.
• Reinforced concrete columns and walls.
• light weight reinforced concrete ribbed slab (polystyrene blocks).
• 7 cm reinforced concrete screed.
• 4 mm bituminous rolls water insulation.
• Expansion and construction joints.
• double wall block partitions.

• tiling walls and floors with polishing ( terrazzo, ceramic and porcelain).
• Egyptian marble tiling for sills and stairs.
• antistatic, high traffic PVC floors with coved skirting and waxing.
• decorative false ceilings (suspended mineral fiber tiles, PVC tiles and gypsum board panels).
• washable  three coat emulsion eggshell painting ( including all required putty surface preparation).
• aluminum double glazed windows and fixed panels.
• Aluco-bond panels exterior shell for all facades (including supporting anti-corrosion painted steel structure).
• wooden doors with steel frame and all accessories.
• wooden closets and drawer units.

​Electrical Scope of work:

• Power System: Main Distribution Panel Board (MDB), power feeders including multi core cables and cable trays for all distribution panel boards.
• Power installation including; isolators for mechanical equipment, power socket outlets and multi-compartment floor boxes. All the system was connected to the power system successfully and without interruptions.
• Lighting System: including all lighting fixtures, cabling, accessories and termination.
• Earthing System: Earthing system for all electrical systems.
• Data system:  telephone network cabling, junction boxes, outlets and full termination.
• Fire alarm: conventional fire alarm panel, smoke detectors, buzzers, break glass.
• public address system including microphones and speakers.
• Nurse Call system:  push buttons, wall mounted Flashing indicators, cabling and Nurse call control panel at the nursing station.
• Bead Head Units (electrical scope): power points, nurse call point, data and telephone point, lighting point & fixture.

Mechanical Scope of work:

• Medical Gases system: Comprehensive Bed head units, items for a fully functional oxygen and vacuum system included; copper pipes network, Valves, AVSU (Area Valve Service Unit).
• Drainage and rain water system: UPVC pipes (2’ 3’ 4’), stainless steel floor drains and rain water drains, two sun pits and floor clean outs.
• Cold and hot water system: PPR pipes, Valves, water distribution cabinets including copper fittings and pex pipes (cross linked polyethylene, duravit wash basins and wall mounted water closet, Grohe mixers and showers, all the system was connected to the existing water system successfully and without interruptions.
• HVAC system: Samsung Inverter split units  (1.5 to 2 TON units) with copper and condensate pipe networks, exhaust fans with the associated ducting network and grills.
• Firefighting system: Recessed wall mounted fire hose real cabinets, seamless steel pipes connected to the existing system in the hospital.
