The funds for this project were donated by International Cooperation & Development Fund Taiwan  (ICDF Taiwan). This project was of a significant importance to Mercy Corps, as it was the first time it obtains funding from  ICDF, additionally it was the first project for ICDF in Jordan.

TECCO’s comprehensive technical offer, competitive financial offer and proven excellent track record with Mercy Corps made us the preferred bidder.  As TECCO’s technical capabilities and resources perfectly fit such projects, Mercy Corps was confident that the project will be in safe hands.

Work was handed over on time, within budget and to an outstanding quality in both well locations; Aqeb k117-Mafraq 100 Km from Amman and kufr Asad- Irbed 110 Km from Amman. The scope of works included the following:

Mechanical works:

• Hydraulic design and Friction loss calculations.
• Q: 45m3/h  H:350 m Stainless Steel submersible pump set with raiser pipes and accessories. 
•  pump installation and setting at 380 m below ground level.
•  Q: 100 m3/h  H:360 m Stainless Steel submersible pump set with raiser pipes and accessories.
•  pump installation and setting of 372 m below ground level.
• Well head works including schedule 80 API 5L seamless pipes with fittings & Valves (mechanical flow meters,  air release valves, gate valves, check valves, strainers and dismantling joints).
• Sand blasting and epoxy painting works for exposed pipes.
• Cold applied bitumen on canvas for buried pipes.
• Connection to the existing main transition pipeline.

• 200 KW Motor Soft Starter Panel (ABB Sweden) including dry run, overload and other protections.
• 75 KW Motor Soft Starter Panel (ABB Sweden) including dry run, overload and other protections.
• MDBs
• Main power feeder cables
• Submerged flat rubber cables (suitable for drinking water).
• Hydrostatic level sensors.
• Dry run sensors
• Temperature sensors
• Power and control cabling.
• Earthing systems.
